Golden Turmeric Milk
This is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up when you need something to tide you over till dinner.
It has a warm, earthy, nourishing taste that simply feels so warm and grounding. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a good book, bath or meditation session. Turmeric is an incredible detoxifier and an bloat-battling best friend, so get your daily serving with this delicious recipe!
Turmeric is loaded with curcumin, a powerful substance known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, golden milk is fantastic for helping to beat the bloat in the mornings or after mealtime.

Ingredients
- 2 cans coconut milk
- 1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon)
- Pinch ground black pepper
- Sweetener of choice (I used raw honey
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan (sweeten to taste – I used 1 tsp raw honey.
Whisk to combine and warm over medium heat.
Heat until hot to the touch but not boiling – about 4 minutes – stirring frequently.
Remove from the teat and taste to adjust flavour – you might want it spicier or sweeter!
Serve immediately, dividing between two glasses (don’t forget to remove the cinnamon stick if you’ve used one!)
