Digestive Testing
Microbiology
The Microbiology Analysis evaluates stool samples for beneficial bacteria, imbalanced gut flora, yeast, and possible pathogens. Beneficial bacteria are organisms typically found in the healthy human gut that have effects both locally and throughout the human body. An impaired or imbalanced gut microbiome has been associated with intestinal and other chronic diseases. The Microbiology Analysis stool test provides actionable clinical information for the development of personalised treatments to help restore intestinal microbial balance.

The Microbiology Analysis is useful for patients experiencing:
▪ Gas
▪ Bloating
▪ Abdominal pain
▪ Diarrhea
▪ Constipation
▪ Fatigue
▪ Infections requiring antibiotic therapy
The Genova Diagnostics microbiology profile can be purchased by current clients or Reinvent members for £100. If you are not a client yet, you can purchase the test along with a 60 minute follow-up consultation via Skype and bespoke nutritional therapy plan for £200. Many nutritional practitioners offer stool testing, but not all of them have undertaken the necessary training to properly interpret the results. Please contact me if you have any questions about the test or if you would like to book.
Comprehensive parasitology
The Comprehensive Parasitology profile is a non-invasive stool test that evaluates the presence of parasites, beneficial bacteria, imbalanced gut flora, pathogenic bacteria, and yeast. This sensitive stool test is ideal for patients with sudden changes in bowel pattern, especially for those who have recently traveled, been camping, or may have had exposure to untreated water. The Comprehensive Parasitology Profile test can help reveal hidden causes behind acute or chronic conditions that may develop from parasitic infection or an impaired or imbalanced gut microbiome. The Comprehensive Parasitology Profile allows me to identify parasitic infections, as well as microbial imbalances, and to target treatment protocols that can help rebalance the gut and resolve infection.
The Comprehensive Parasitology Analysis is effective for patients experiencing:
▪ Diarrhea or Constipation
▪ Cramps
▪ Gas and/or bloating
▪ Nausea
▪ Fever
▪ Vomiting
▪ Abdominal pain
▪ Fatigue
▪ Infections requiring antibiotic therapy
The Genova Diagnostics comprehensive parasitology profile can be purchased by current clients or Reinvent members for £160. If you are not a client yet, you can purchase the test along with a 60 minute follow-up consultation via Skype and bespoke nutritional therapy plan for £260. Many nutritional practitioners offer stool testing, but not all of them have undertaken the necessary training to properly interpret the results. Please contact me if you have any questions about the test or if you would like to book.
GI Effects
The GI Effects Comprehensive Profile is unlike any other stool analysis profile, going beyond the standard parameters for identifying gastrointestinal disorders.
Gastrointestinal function is important for general health. The intestinal tract contains significant amounts of bacteria which, when imbalanced, have been associated with IBS and IBD, immune disorders, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Balancing gut microflora is key for optimising digestion and absorption of nutrients, as well as metabolic functions. Poor digestion and malabsorption can lead to immune dysfunction, nutritional insufficiencies, mental/emotional disorders, and autoimmune diseases.

The GI Effects Comprehensive Profile assesses:
▪ Anaerobes
▪ Parasites
▪ Adiposity Index
▪ Imbalances of the two predominant bacterial groups in the human GI tract, bacteroidetes and firmicutes, which have been associated with obesity in some studies.
▪ Absorption
▪ Indicates absorption issues with elevated levels of long-chain fatty acids, cholesterol, or total fat (the sum of gut lipids).
▪ Inflammation
▪ Pharmaceutical and botanical sensitivities
GI Effects by Genova Diagnostics is available to current clients and Reinvent members and costs £355. If you are not a client yet, you can purchase the test along with a 60 minute follow-up consultation via Skype and bespoke nutritional therapy plan for £455.
Helicobacter Pylori Breath Test
Helicobacter pylori is believed to be the only bacteria able to withstand the acidity of the stomach and has been shown to be the single biggest cause of gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis. It is now believed that virtually all abdominal ulcers, apart from drug- induced forms, are caused by a Helicobacter pylori infection. This breath procedure is a highly accurate and non-invasive diagnostic tool utilising a C13 powder to detect the presence of an active H.pylori infection.
The Genova Diagnostics Helicobacter Pylori test is only available to clients and Reinvent members and costs £112.
